| Well, hello to the friends still remaining in the Xanga world! I've decided to return. I'm continuing to enjoy facebook but xanga posts are just more "personable" than the quick FB updates (and they're good for remembering). Send a holler if you still use your xanga! ~Sarah | | |
| I am going to Costa Rica in a few hours with some friends =) My wonderful friend, Valerie, is treating the four of us to a vacation there! | | |
| Last Wednesday was my birthday, and I'm now a quarter of a century old :) Whew! For real? How did that happen? It was also Amber's birthday the day before, so we decided to celebrate both birthdays together on the 4th. We were going to watch the New York fireworks display, which is supposed to be one of the best fireworks shows in the world, but, alas, it rained...It was actually COLD on the 4th of July! The coldest birthday I've yet experienced...it was somewhere in the 60s, I think. So, my wonderful friends quickly made other plans and we all had dinner at Unos Chicago Pizzeria (Chicago pizza in NY - it was fun!). A few pictures, courtesy of Andrew:

| Well, my friends, it's been a long time since Sarah has written on Xanga, hasn't it? So much for frequent updates...I've simply been too busy! =) For all of my dear friends outside of NYC, let me give you a quick rundown of what has happened in the life of Sarah in the past 6 months... January: Moved to NYC - Spanish Harlem, Manhattan, to be more specific. Moved in with wonderful Katie and Aundrea, and joined New York Church International. Applied for Nanny positions all over Manhattan and went to some interesting interviews. February: Met Valerie Reyes at Church and applied for a position as her Personal Assistant (this story later). She hired me and I began work on February 12th, commuting to Queens everyday. March-May: Storming stage at work - learning all the ins and outs of Valerie's position, New York City, and more...much, much, much learning! Val and I had the privilege of praying with a beloved co-worker, Tonesha, as she rededicated her life to God. She was baptized in May and joined our church! June: Ministry is happening at work and God is sending us hungry hearts. It's amazing to see...absolutely amazing. God is so good, and His purposes prevail. I can't wait to share the overflowing stories of what God is doing! And, pictures will follow - I PROMISE! Jot me a message and let me know how you're doing! I feel a bit disconnected from everyone out there...my phone was lost a few weeks ago, so I've been out of the loop. I love you guys, my dear, dear friends. More soon (really this time ). | | |
